UCSF Celebrates Women's History Month, 2019
This month-long campaign aimed to highlight and celebrate women in a variety of roles at UCSF. We showcased students, alums, staff, faculty, leadership, and clinicians. We worked with internal and external partners to develop more than 100 pieces of content that were highlighted in organic and paid channels across UCSF's enterprise accounts and sub-brands. For more samples of the content we published, seeded and inspired, visit: bit.ly/UCSFWomen.
UCSF engages Reddit's science enthusiasts
The Reddit community is famously protective of their platform and brand infiltration is widely denounced. We've successfully used the "AMA" or "Ask Me Anything" format to connect our researchers and our external partners directly with key audiences on the r/Science and r/AskScience channels, which together represent more than 40 million subscribed users. Our carefully crafted AMAs, which support larger communications objectives, generate millions of impressions on this notoriously fickle platform. #StandUpForScienceSF | #UCSFStandsUp
This award-winning campaign supported a university-wide initiative in response to threats to funding for federal science and health organizations. Our digital and social media channels rallied the community, covered the events and engaged influencers. Our two hashtags, devised fresh for this campaign, both reached the top trending lists on Twitter for San Francisco.
